Bedroom designs where you really sleep well

Bed as the basis for quality sleep

The right bed is essential: 160/180 × 200 cm (or 210 cm for taller people) with a bed height of around 45-55 cm for comfortable standing up.
The mattress and grid are chosen according to the sleeping position and weight, the pillow is adapted to the body constitution – higher for sleeping on the side, lower for sleeping on the stomach.

Light that respects the rhythm of the day

In the evening, we suggest warm, dimmable light (2700-3000 K), which calms, while in the morning, brighter light activates.
We solve blackout by a combination of blackout curtains and light day curtains, ideally led in a hidden ceiling rail.

Peace and quiet for undisturbed relaxation

Silence is the key. Curtains, soft carpets, padded headboards and full doors with seals help.
We prefer to keep technology in the living room or hide it in furniture sets.

Materials that soothe

We choose materials that are soothing – natural wood, linen, wool, matt finishes and soft textures.
One accent is enough: sage, sand or light grey. You can easily liven up the season with a new bedspread or throws, but we keep the basics timeless.

What to expect when designing a bedroom

What determines a good bedroom design

Layout and thoughtful zoning

The correct positioning of the bed, obstacle-free passageways and smooth movement between the bed, wardrobe and window are the basis for a comfortable bedroom.
For smaller rooms, we work with shorter furniture depths, sliding doors and combine closed and open storage spaces to give the room an airy feel.

Bed and headboard as a dominant feature of the bedroom

The bed is the centre of the whole room – that’s why it’s chosen with comfort and scale in mind.
The upholstered headboard protects the wall, dampens noise and adds softness and calm to the bedroom.

Tailor-made storage spaces

Built-in wardrobes up to the ceiling, drawers under the bed and clever internal zoning help to make the most of every centimetre.
Mirrored doors visually enlarge the space, while the wood decor warms it up.

Layered lighting

Well-designed light changes the atmosphere of a bedroom during the day.
We combine central, mood and spot lighting – dimmable lamps at the head of the bed, indirect LED strips and nighttime orientation lights promote calm and relaxation.

Colours and materials that soothe

Beige, sage, light grey, natural wood, linen and wool – the subtle tones and layering of textures are timeless, cosy and safe.
Glossy surfaces are used sparingly so that the space does not look distracting.

Privacy and peace of mind

The bedroom is supposed to be a place where the world disappears for a while.
Fabrics, acoustic elements, quality doors and windows help. “Clever” features such as dimming or automatic blinds can be plugged in unobtrusively, without distracting lights and sounds.
